One-to-one tutoring sessions are a fantastic opportunity to solve problems, digest difficult concepts, and play with new ideas. With a properly trained tutor, there is no telling what sort of gains might be possible. My training includes three years of teaching eighth grade, certification to teach all levels of Social Studies, and teaching Mathematics to students in fifth through ninth grades. I am also proficient in teaching Common Core writing. Because I have worked with many different students in the past, I have the patience necessary to guide them through hurdles and towards new ways of looking at their studies.Though I am not currently teaching in a public or private school, I still want to work with students and help them move towards their academic goals. I am looking to tutor students in Math, Pre-Algebra, Geometry, History, Public Speaking, English, and AP courses in the Humanities and Social Sciences. Having been a teacher, I am able to link these subjects to school curriculum in a way that a recent graduate just starting out might not.
