A true teacher does not instruct. A true teacher works as a guide to inspire their students to develop an appreciation for learning, a desire to keep learning and supplies them with the necessary tools to be successful in any field they choose. My areas of specialty lie in Literature and the Humanities. I feel that my skills will be beneficial to any child, regardless of age, that has a difficulty in the areas of reading and reading comprehension: from literature, to history, to social studies, to science. Within each academic field, it is necessary for the student to be able to read and comprehend complex material in order to form their own opinions on the subject. Furthermore, having worked as a freelance writer for several eBook publishing companies, I am very qualified to help instruct any student who has a difficulty in the field of composition. Writing well is an invaluable skill for any student that wishes to go to college. It is my opinion that writing clearly helps one to think clearly. Having written books for an array of clients in a variety of different fields (from health and fitness, to history, to internet marketing), I am positive that I can help any child develop the skills to construct a sound argument. I have taken classes in the field of writing/composition, as well as an array of classes in the field of literature and philosophy. I feel confident that my knowledge will serve any child well that struggles in these areas. Every child has the potential to do well in any subject they choose. The question is finding the right individual to open the doors for them; once they are opened, it is certain that the curious mind will walk through with confidence.
